David Massengill is a
Bay Area native who has lived in Seattle for about a
decade. His short stories have appeared in The Raven
Chronicles, StringTown, 3 A.M. Magazine,
Eclectica
Magazine, Rivet Magazine, and N.O.L.A.
Spleen, among
other literary journals. In 2005, he received a GAP
(Grant for Artists Projects) award from Seattle's
Artist Trust organization for his fiction. In 2002,
Seattle's Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs awarded
him a Literary Arts Grant. Seattleites have
heard David read his short stories at various venues
around the city, as he has been a featured reader in
numerous reading series. He has also contributed
nonfiction to American Book Review and Seattle
Weekly, where he served as Books Editor. |
